100-DAY HABITS

Join us for a 45-minute full body mat workout to celebrate Nathan’s 100-day habits.

They say it takes 8 weeks to make a habit. Maybe for some. I’ve been on the yo-yo diet roller coaster for many years. In early December I felt like I was at my worst. 208lbs, overweight, garbage diet, and sleeping 3-4 hours a night. I did this for years not thinking about the compounding effects and what it would do to me in the future.

𝙄 𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛, “𝙄’𝙢 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙤𝙠 𝙞𝙛 𝙄 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬, 𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙞𝙩 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧”.

But I felt like shit and I knew it wasn’t ok. Sometimes things don’t stick when you hear them at first, or it might be the wrong time in your life. But for some reason this time felt different when @aradseyedin finished a training session with me in early December and asked, “what are you doing to train tmrw?”, to which I replied “nothing”. For some reason that sparked something in me that made me come to terms with the fact that I never stuck to anything. I had the worst discipline and I didn’t have what it took to see anything through. So I decided that night that I’d challenge myself to do something for 100 days. 100 days of doing anything HAS TO be enough to make something stick. The neurological pathways will have time to form and then I won’t have to FORCE myself any longer to make this a routine.

I was right, and it took much less time. One small victory of getting up early led to another. And soon compounding “habit stacking” (atomic habits) took full effect and it wasn’t long before I corrected my sleep, cleaned up my diet, and started a full supplement regiment. 55 days into my 100 day challenge and I’m down 12lbs, I feel rested and not sore. I have zero cravings in the day for junk food and my energy is better than ever. More than a routine, it’s a new state of mind.
